Updates

Hello!
I know it seems that not much has been happening but 2|Women is still happening and I am logging in today with some exciting updates.
We have booked the dates for the writing workshops to start in a perfect and safe environment in Wandsworth where for 6 consecutive weeks, the ladies taking part will be discovering the joys of writing as well as creating the script for the drama 2|Women which will be hitting the stage for Mother's Day in April.
We also have new people on board: a costume designer on board, Anna, from Italy, who will be designing our dancers costumes as well as getting together our cast's wardrobe. We also have Ruth Ingamells who is our graphic designer and has been working up some terrific ideas for the posters and the leaflets which I will be uploading later this week!
Stay tunned to hear about how the recruitement goes for our writing workshops and the beginning of our castings in January!

The commercial

So I've been preparing a commercial directed by Amith Rahman and staring our choreographer for the show Vicki Anderson.
I think I'll be uploading it later on this evening but just thought I would start sharing some of the snaps shot last week.
We are still looking for a place to hold our weekly meetings which we hoped would start in November... Get in touch if you know a place with creche facilities.

In the beginning...

Hi!
Welcome to our blog!

This project is only just starting but I am happy to say that it's actually picking up quite well!

So here is what this is all about:
Amith Rahman, Lorna McGinty and myself are launching a new project in association with MoonlightStar Productions and Wandsworth Woman's Aid, a registered charity helping women survivors of abusive relationships to start over.
The idea is to launch a show that will have been written by the women of the shelter and to have a grand performance on Women's day!

I can't tell you much more about the story at this stage but we are contacting some pretty exciting potential sponsors and I will be keeping you updated on our process. I will upload a sponsorship video sometime next week along with our teaser!

I cannot wait to see this blog grow with entries of new developments!
